NEW STAFF MEMBERS AT SAINT MARY'S

KATHLEEN HOGAN: Kathleen began working at Saint

Mary’s last month as our Administrative Assistant.

Kathleen relocated to Richmond from Cary, North Carolina,

last year to be closer to her daughter and her family. An

active member of her parish community in Cary, she has

since become a parishioner at St. Edward’s Catholic Church

in Richmond.

Kathleen is the proud mother of three adult children, whose homes span from North Carolina to London. A devoted animal lover, she enjoys spending time with cats and dogs and volunteers as a cat matchmaker at the Richmond Animal League whenever her schedule allows.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and an enthusiastic Fighting Irish fan, Kathleen spent many years in the technology industry before retiring. After taking time to explore and settle into the Richmond area, she realized she wasn’t quite ready for retirement. We are fortunate that her next chapter brought her to Saint Mary’s.

MIRIAM GRAU: Miriam began working at Saint Mary’s

on June 1st as our new Receptionist.

Miriam was born and raised in Cork City, Ireland. She later

moved to the Middle East, where she worked as a flight

attendant for many years and developed a lifelong love of

travel.

Fourteen years ago, Miriam and her husband, a retired U.S.

Navy veteran, made Richmond their home. Together they have three children: Shauna, a senior at Virginia Tech; Billy, who will soon begin his freshman year at VMI; and Tara, a student at James River High School. Completing the family is their beloved chocolate Labrador, Bear.

Miriam’s family is deeply involved in the swimming community and enjoys spending weekends cheering on Billy at swim meets. During the summer, they love making memories together on trips to the beach.

Miriam looks forward to meeting members of the Saint Mary’s community and is excited to be part of such a welcoming and vibrant parish. We are equally excited to welcome her to the Saint Mary’s family.
