In 2025, the Church celebrated the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed. The Council of Nicea convened in 325 to address concerns of the early Church. The Creed that came out of the Council is a cornerstone (summary) of our faith to this day. A five-week study of the Nicene Creed will be presented in January-February to aid us in getting off to a great new year with our faith. Father Mike will kick it off with an introduction to the Council of Nicea and the issues that were on the forefront of Church leaders’ minds going into the Council. That will be followed by weekly presentations on the major sections of the Creed: God the Father (Deacon Joe Morino), God the Son (Anne-Marie Condlin), God the Holy Spirit (Chris Jenkins) and the Church (Richard Mallory). The same class will be offered on Thursday evenings at 7 pm and Friday morning at 10 am. The classes will also be offered by Zoom. Sign up for the class using the QR code.
