national eucharistic pilgrimage
(local information and links)
What is the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage?
The National Eucharistic Pilgrimage is an opportunity to bring the joy and hope of Jesus directly into our communities through Eucharistic processions and adoration, Mass, community service projects, and more. We will be united as we go out on mission, encounter one another, and accompany each other in a renewal of faith.
While the faithful are encouraged to join all along the way, a group of nine “Perpetual Pilgrims” will travel the entire route of the pilgrimage up the East Coast. They will carry the Blessed Sacrament to parishes, shrines, and public places, inviting people from all walks of life to join them in person and spiritually.

The Pilgrimage through the Diocese of Richmond
From June 2-5, nine parishes across five cities along the diocesan route will host events to celebrate the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. The faithful are invited to attend Eucharistic processions and adoration, Masses, witness talks, and time for fellowship as we pray to align our country as One Nation Under God. Visit the Diocesan Web Page for more detailed information.

There will be shuttles running from the Cathedral to Saint Patrick from 8:00am until 8:45am.
Procession Information: The Procession will be roughly 2 miles. At both Saint Patrick and Saint Peter we will have a moment of prayer within the church. Water will be available at both parishes.
If you can’t do the procession: We suggest that you park at the VCU deck between 10-10:15 and then join Bishop Knestout as he receives the monstrance in Monroe Park. He’ll then process into the Cathedral for a short period of Benediction and then Mass at 11:00am. By arriving early, you ensure you won’t miss this moment. This could be a good option for those with children or mobility issues.
