Lunch and Life Winter Series

The Shepherd's Center Lunch and life series will begin on Wednesday, January 15 and run each Wednesday through February 5.  We gather in the lower commons at noon each Wednesday, share snacks or bring your lunch, and then enjoy a speaker from 12:30 pm- 1:15 pm.

Winter speakers are:

January 15: "Southern Journey: The Migrations of the American South 1790-2020"
          Dr. Edward Ayers, former President of UR: author and historian.

January 22: "Child Sniper: The ongoing Saga of Lee Boyd Malvo"
          Craig Cooley, criminal defense attorney; co-lead counsel for Malvo

January 29: "My Life as a News Anchor and TV Reporter"
          Constance Jones, TV News Anchor, Channel 8 (WRIC)

February 5: "Byrd Park, the Carillon, and the Canals"
          Kathryn Whittington, historical researcher; docent, The Valentine Museum.
