Diocesan Screening Requirements

All parish volunteers who work with or have regular access to children/youth and all school volunteers, shall be screened every four years through:

     a. The central Registry of Child Protective Services of the Virginia Department
of Social Services;
     b. The electronic screening service, Volunteer Select.

In addition, all of the above volunteers must attend Protecting God's Children, a one-time education/awareness workshop offered throughout the diocese.

Protecting God's Children for Adults

This is the education program the Diocese of Richmond has chosen to teach adults
how to recognize and respond to child sexual abuse and how to keep children safe.
