Music Ministry

The primary music ministry is the assembly, assisted by individuals and groups of musicians who lead the assembly in its musical prayers.

Adult Liturgical Bell Choir

Approximately 15 "regulars" rehearse weekly (Monday evenings) using 3-5 octave performance and liturgical music for bells. New ringers, with or without experience, are always welcome! Or you may enjoy the flexibility of being a 'substitute' or 'seasonal' ringer.

Parish Choir

The choir is a dedicated group of adults who enjoy music and who minister as a choral ensemble within the assembly on weekends, feastdays, and at seasonal celebrations. Membership in the Parish Choir is open to all adults regardless of musical ability. Regular attendance at rehearsals (Tuesday evenings) and liturgies is expected. However, seasonal singers are welcome to participate within the time period they are available.

Cantor Ministry

The parish cantor is a person of faith dedicated to the ongoing study and awareness fo the message of scripture. Since the human voice is the vehicle for the sung expression of faith, a certain demonstrated ability of vocal competence is necessary to lead the assembly in sung prayer. Further, a willingness to grow in faith and an understanding of the importance of prayerful presence to the assembly is foundational. Parish cantors meet regularly to consider their ministry and to build musical skills.

Instrumentalists

If you play or have played an instrument in the not to distant past, consider giving your talent to the parish assembly on an occasional or seasonal basis. Perfection is not expected. A willingness to assist the parish at prayer with the additional sounds of either strings, brass, or winds will bring great personal satisfaction. We will work with you.

Children's Choir

All children of the parish, grades 1-5 are invited to join this established minsitry. Rehearsals are weekly on Sundays to develop vocal and performance skills, grow in spirituality and prepare for a weekend Liturgy once-a-month.

Youth Choir:

Middle School students (grades 6-8), are invited to join this music ministry which rehearses in the Worship Space weekly on Sundays, 12:30 - 1:30, except for the last Sunday of each month. Students will develop vocal skills and Chime playing skills as they prepare for a weekend Liturgy once-a-month.
